W.D.F.U.
INTERESTING EXHIBITION Women all over the district are lending some very interesting old pieces of work for exhibition at the display of handwork, hobbies and applied art to be held by the Wanganui branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, in the W.D.F.U. Rooms (McGruer’s Building), tomorrow afternoon and evening. The display promises to be of great interest, and for those who cannot be present during the afternoon there will be the evening session from 7 to 9 p.m. Among the exhibition of arts and crafts will be lovely handwork of all descriptions, also rare old pieces of work, valuable family heirlooms, including a hand-made Chantilly lace shawl over 100 years old. The entries are coming in well for the numerous classes in the sections for hobbies and applied art, fancy work, knitting and hand-made flowers. Visitors will find much to interest them in this competitive exhibition.
