RIFLE SHOOTING Shooting on Saturday in a changeable south-east wind, members of the Rangitikei Defence Rifle Club registered some good scores, two putting on the century or better. Full scores over ranges of 300, 500 and 600 yards are as follow: W. J. Jenkins, 35, 33, 33—101; D. P. Thorby, 33, 35, 32 100; W. A. Stevenson, 32, 34, 32—98; H. Meads, 35, 30, 29—94; F. Simpson, 30, 33, 29—92; R. B. McKenzie, 34, 31, 0—65; L. Huddleston, 31, 32, 0— 63; R. White. 29. 33, 0—62. RANGITIKEI GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP During the week-end, W. H. Amon added another championship to his tally by winning the senior championship of the Rangitikei Golf Club. Amon played sound golf throughout, a feature being his excellent approach shots. His opponent, G. Drew, din not play up to form, and the final was rather one-sided, Amon being 7 up at the end of the first 18 holes, and winning on the 27th., the score being 10 up and 9 to play.
