LITTLE GIRL INJURED
knocked down by truck : CHARGES AGAINST DRIVEF [ Per Press Association. 1 BLENHEIM, Oct. 15. When a little girl Alison Beryl Ivory ran from behind a school bus to carry some mail to a settler’s letterbox on the opposite side of the road at Rapaura on August 18, she was knocked down by a motor trucks driven by Noel Ernest Sinclair RoscM farmer, Blenheim, who pleaded noi guilty at the Police Court yesterday to driving negligently and causing bodily harm. A further charge of driving with inefficient brakes was adjourned pending the hearing of the major charge on which Rose was committed for trial, nominal bail being fixed. The evidence disclosed that the victim of the accident, who was gravely hurt, suffering a fracture of the base of the skull and injury impairing the sight of the right eye, had made a remarkable recovery.
