EXPRESS GRATITUDE FOR VALUABLE ASSISTANCE GIVEN IN ORGANISATION OF WENDY HUT PICNICS Dear Wendy.—Only a little note this time to tell you about the farewell tendered to our dear “Scribbo, ” and his wee daughter, our “Wee Pet,” last Thursday night. The weather was fine and a large number of people made their way to the town hall at Ohingaiti, to show their regards and respect to our “Scribo,” ana his family. We all had a very pleasant evening, and the guest of the evening had some lovely presents and bouquets given to them, and there were some very nice and kindly remarks made about them to let them know how we appreciated their kindness and consideration to every one. I, myself, appreciate “Scribe’s” kindness very much in helping me in the past with the Wendy Hut picnics that were held

for four years by myself and pll the lies. Dear Wendy, that evening I conveyed to “Scribo” and his family the felicitations and kind regards on your behalf, and all the Wendy Ites in Wendy town. 1 told him we were all very sorry he is leaving our trict. We wish them good luck i> their new home and in “Scribo’s” new duties, which he so ably deserves. As their home will be in Wanganui you will be able to see them, Wendy. Our loss is your gain, and they take our heartiest good wishes with them from all of Wendytown. Dear Wendy, I think our page was very interesting on Saturday commenting on the S.P.C.A. week and kindness to animals. My warmest regards and wishes for your good health.—Wendy.
