MAJESTIC THEATRE, SUNDAY NIGHT. By kind permission of Mr. T. W. Ratana, the Ratana Morehu concert ( party and band will be giving a concert in conjunction with the Garrison Band in the Majestic Theatre on Sunday night at 5.15. The Ratana concert party, who have just completed an extensive tour, are claimed to be the most versatile of all Maori concert parlies. With their solos, quartettes, trios, action songs, poi dances, and tableaux they have “thrilled” thousands. The Ratana Morehu Band will be giving items in full Maori costume. The Garrison Eand, under Conductor Francis L.R.S.M., will, by special request, play von Suppe’s beautiful overture “Poet and Peasant” and the quickstep “Irresistible.” As the band are in first class form at present in view of starting on the championship, contest music, a musical treat is assured. Patrons are requested to be early so as to avoid disappointment as there are definitely no reserves and the concert will conclude in time for patrons to catch their trams.
