THE FIGURES ANALYSED LONDON, Oct.<l4. The Board of Trade returns for September show: Imports £87,809,000 Exports £44,263,000 Re-exports _ . £5,205,000 The principal increases, compared with September of last year, were:— Imports: Grain and flour £1,188,000; other foods, £889,000; tobacco, £1,312,000; iron and ore scrap, £775,000; wood and timber, £2,397,000; hides and skins, £767,000; rubber, £1,116,000; iron and steel manufactures, £1,091,1 000; non-ferrous metals, £2,208,000; oils, fats, and resins, £792,000. Exports: Coal, £933,000; iron and steel manufactures, £833,000; machinery, £874,000; cotton yarns and manufactures, £723. Re-exports: Non-ferrous metals. £1,120,000. The principal decreases were: Imports of dairy produce, £647,000.
