DEPUTATION’S CLAIMS [ Per Press Association. ) WELLINGTON, Oct. 14. A deputation, representative ot the Wellington City Council, Chamber ot Commerce. Harbour Board, and other organisations, waited on the Wellington district members of Parliament to-day, urging support for Welling.rr.’s claims as the transtasman air terminal and transpacific shipping terminal. The speakers stressed the advantages of Wellington, particularly from the central point of view, explaining that it economises time and expenditure on the distribution •f passengers and mails. ion from the ground engineer of PanAmerican Airways respecting the Wellington facilities. Mr McKeen said that he had discussed the question with the Hons. W. Nash, P. C. Webb, and M. Fagan, and assured the deputation that they would all co-operate in pressing Wellington's interests.
