NEW ADVERTISING CHIEF
MR. KEN ALEXANDER Mr. Ken Alexander, of Wellington, has been appointed manager of Gordon and Gotch (New Zealand) Advertising Limited. He is a business man whose literary and artistic side has made him well known to many readers of New Zealand and Australian publications. His versatility has been shown in a wide range of cartoons, and in humorous philosophic musings, illustrated by himself. Some of his drawings have been reproduced in English, American and South African papers. His book of topical humour, “Highlights of Life,” published five years ago, won praise from intelligent critics in New Zealand and overseas. In serious vein, too, Mr. Alexander has some notable art work to his credit, particularly his illustrations of the late Dick Harris, a very gifted New Zealander. Mr. Alexander is revising the last chapters of a fullsized novel which he expects to send to London soon. For some years his activities have brought him in touch with the field of advertising, particularly t.he production side. His designs and slogans have achieved success with their re* freshing originality.
