FEDERAL ELECTION
CAMPAIGN PROCEEDING. GOVERNMENT EXPECTS LOWER MAJORITY. Received Oct. 14, 12 midnight. SYDNEY, Oct. 14. The Federal election campaign is proceeding quietly, chiefly by means of the road. Only nine days remain before polling day. The Prime Minister expects victory with a slightly reduced majority in both Houses.
