MEAT BOARD LEVY
INCREASE ANNOUNCED . [Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Oct. 14. From a penny per carcase on mut» ton and lamb and a halfpenny per quarter on beef, the Meat Producers’ Boards’ levy realised £49,997. The balance-sheet at June 30 last showed an excess of expenditure over income of £8097. Advertising expenditure was £26,582. The board is raising its levy to a penny half-penny on sheep and lambs and three farthings on beef.
