TEMPERANCE UNION

The Aramoho branch of the Women’s Union held their 18th. birthday party on Thursday last in the Methodist scholroom. A very enjoyable programme was contributed by the following:—Pianoforte solos by Mrs. Ansell and Miss L. Dunlop; vocal solos by Mrs. Wellard, Mrs. Breton, Miss P. Chesswas and elocutionary items by Miss Alice Rogers and Miss Ruth Healey. The beautiful birthday cake, with its 20 kewpies, representing the number of babies on the cradle roll, was made and cut by Mrs. Walker. A dainty afternoon tea was dispensed by the members.
