WANGANUI CLUB FINAL MEETING ON PURIRI STREET COURSE The Wanganui Greyhound Racing Club held its last meeting on the Furiri Street course last week-end. Entries for the different events were good and some bright racing was seen. Henceforth the club will holi its meetings on Spriggens Park ’ Results are:— A Grade First Heat.—Silver Ring (F. Hoskins) 3 FLYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP KANE KNOCKED OUT. Received Oct. 14, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 14. In the British-European flyweight championship, Benny Lynch (the holder) knocked out Peter Kane in the thirteenth round. Lynch caught Kane napping twice and'downed him. Subsequently, in a magnificent battle, Kane was severely punished in the later rounds and was down for seven in the thirteenth before the rain o£ blows was completed. This is his first defeat for three years.
