FOREIGN VOLUNTEERS

Withdrawal From Spain

TALK MUST END TIME FOR ACTION AT HAND FRANCE GROWS IMPATIENT (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, Oct. 12. The Telegraph’s diplomatic correspondent says after discussion with M Corbin, the French Ambassador, today, Mr Eden will place to-morrow France’s proposals regarding the situation arising out of the Italian Note before the British Cabinet, together with his own recommendations. It seems clear the France has now decided that the Italian counter suggestion of foreign intervention should be discussed by the London Committee, and should it be adopted, a final effort will be made to secure the withdrawal of troops from Spain, but France feels it would be intolerable if it again resulted in endless talk with no prospect of action. It is suggested that the committee should impose a time limit for a decision. GOVERNMENT DECREES EVACUATION OF SECURITIES. Received Oct. 13, 11.51? p.m. VALENCIA, Oct. 13. A Government decree orders all banks in Asturias and Santander to withdraw from business and evacuate all securities and moneys. Another decree orders all who have sought refuge in Madrid since July, 1936, and who are not discharging a public service, to leave the city within a month.
