The chairman said that the club was formed in 1933 and since then had built two hard courts and it was pleasing to note that when the present top dressing is completeu both courts will be in splendid order. Mr Bowater paid a tribute to the retiring president, Mr A. H. Sanson, the secretary, Miss L. Gedye, and the young energetic committee who haci by hard work, placed the club in its present sound position. The speakei also referred to those who had so readily lent cars for transport oi players to various matches. The matches arranged by the central committee had proved of great benefit to the players and could also b& regarded as a social success. In concluding, Mr Bowater said the Stars donated by Mr Roy Nicol had been very keenly contested for, the winners being Miss L. Lumsden and Mr D. G. Hammond.
