CHASES GO TO LEAGUE
The two Chase brothers, Tommy and Rangi, of the Huia Club (Taihape) have joined the ranks of League and were playing for Manakau last Saturday. Both were prominent, Rangi particularly. He scored several tries and Tommy was entrusted with the kicking. It was ironical that the day following the appearance of these two at Auckland the Wanganui Rugby Union should have forwarded Tommy’s name to Wellington as a nomination for the North Island Union team. The Huia Club will feel the loss of these two players very seriously. Botii have played with a touch of sparkle and have contributed a good deal to the spectacular side of Rugby in Taihape. Naturally, the Wanganui Rugby Union has now’ withdrawn T. Chase’s nomination.
