ROUND-TABLE CONFERENCE

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE FEDERATIONS. Another .year of activities has been completed by the Women’s Institutes of New- Zealand and to-morrow will see the opening of one of the most interesting conferences held by the Institute Council, which takes place at Wellington. The meeting should teem with interest for this is the first year that a round-table conference is Council Conference. It is a new debeing held instead of the usual annual parture, and if successful, will be held alternately. Instead of delegates numbering between 450 and 500 attending from every institute, there will be two represeentatives from each federation throughout the North and South Islands. Following the conference to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, a two-days school will be held for voluntary organisers. Miss Young, president of the Wanganui Federation of Women’s Institutes, and Mrs. Shanks, ; will represent Wanganui. Mrs. J. Brine (Wanganui) and Mrs. Ginnane (Mangaweka). will attend the school for voluntary organisers.
