HEALTH RESTORED
A GRATEFUL PRISONER I Per A.-toc:ation. J AUCKLAND, June 10. “I would like to thank you, sir, and the Court for the opportunity afforded me to bring my health back to normal in the prison hospital. The treatment given me was more than I expected.” This unusual tribute to the curative treatment afforded him while on remand was paid by a man who appeared before Mr Wyvern Wilson on a charge of being found in a state of helpless drunkenness on Jun- 3. The police said that when the man was remanded last week he was in a very bad way. This morning he had fully recovered and was bright and cheerful. The magistrate convicted and ordered him to pay £1 10s expenses.
