CRASH INTO CHURCH
’PLANE OVER MELBOURNE SUBURB MELBOURNE, June 9. In a dense fog a 'plane crashed into a suburban church this evening, after cruising for an hour over the city seeking a landing. The ’plane was carrying two members of the Victorian Flying School, Messrs. P. McAlister and N. Sloan, and was returning from Bendigo. Approaching the city it entered the fog and the pilot lost his bearing. He flew round seeking the aerodrome and running of petroi came low, seeking an emergency landing, and crashed into the church. The machine was wrecked and the church slightly damaged. Sloan was slightly injured and McAlister escaped unhurt
