AUTOMOBILE STRIKE OVER

Received June 10, 8.4 u p.m. FLINT, June 9. The automobile workers’ strike, which crippled industry in three large cities and 192 small communities and affecting half a million persons, came to end when strikers accepted orders of the union leaders, Messrs Lewis and Martin, together with those of Governor Murphy. The chief outcome of the strike is pay, a rise of five cents an hour, with the union gaining exclusive bargaining rights within the State. The union had asked for an increase of twenty cents.
