Meteorological Office, Wellington, Thursday, June 10, 4 p.m. General Sltuat.’vn.—An anti-cyclone covers the Dominion to-day and the distribution of pressure is very uniform. Forecast— Winds: Light to moderate and variable with southeasterly or easterly prevailing over the North Island and northeasterly to northerly in the South. Seas (New Zealand waters): Slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate winds, easterlies prevailing in northern portion and variables in southern; seas, slight to moderate. Weather.—Fair to fine generally but a few isolated showers probable between Wairoa and East Cape and also in South Westland and far south. Cold night temperatures with many sharp frosts. Phases of the Moon for June.—Third Quarter, June 2; New Moon, June 9; First Quarter, June 16; Full Moon, June 24.
