HONOURS CONFERRED
DUCHESSES OF GLOUCESTER AND KENT LONDON, June 8. The King, in celebration of hi! birthday, has appointed the Duchesses of Gloucester and Kent to the Imperial Order of the Crown of India. Queen Victoria instituted the Order in 1878 to commemorate her assumption of the title of Empress of India. The Order carries no title, but members, who include Their Majesties. Queen Mary, the Princess Royal, and the Queen of Norway, may put the ’nitiah C.I. after their name.
