THE BULLS SALE ’ Dalgety and Company, Limited, re- ’ port on their usual fortnightly Bulls sale held on Monday, when the following entries came forward: 33 sheep, ’ 13 pigs, 101 cattle, 4 horses, and a ’ quantity of sundries. Competition was quite good for ’ everything submitted and we report a very good clearance. A special ’ entry, on account of H. E. Tricker, of his high-class dairy herd, attracted " good competition. Best dairy cows sold from £lO to £l3, later calvers £5 15s to £8 10s. A line of 2-year heifers made £5 10s; weaner heifers, £3 12s 6d. They quote the following prices for the other stock entered:—Fat ewes, 15s 3d; store ewes, 10s; weaner pigs, 9s, 10s; small stores, 16s, 18s; fat JerI sey heifers, £4 10s to £5; fat Jersey . cows, £2 15s, £2 19s, £3 3s, £4, £4 ss, . £4 13s; Shorthorn steer, £5 17s; store cows, £1 ss, £2, £2 Bs, £2 10s; dairy cows, just calved, £5, £7, £7 ss; weaner heifers, 255, £2, £2 10s; one pony, £2; aged hack, £4 15s; potatoes, 9s a sack; ■ pumpkins and marrows, ss. Prior to the stock sale they conducted a clearing sale of timber and i sundries for the contractor of the new Bank of New Zealand, Bulls. There was good competition for all lots of timber, etc., with a satisfactory sale.
