BAY OF PLENTY SUPPORTERS ORGANISING CAMPAIGN A well attended conference of National Party members in the Bay of Plenty electorate was held at Matawai on Friday, when arrangements were made for the appointment of a central executive committee to co-ordin-ate activities. A comprehensive scheme for carrying on the party's campaign was adopted by the meeting. BRANCHES IN NORTH RUAKAKA AND KAMO MEETINGS Branches of the New Zealand National Party were formed at two meetings held in the district during last week. At Ruakaka over 3u settlers attended and the following executive was elected:—Messrs J. Crompton, A. E. Vaile, Souster, Suvuljko, E. Gunson, J. Wright. A. Cosgrove. N. Alison, and J. Murdoch. At Kamo there was a large attendance, Mr Murdoch Mclnnes presiding. A strong committee was set up, Mr Mclnnes being elected president.
