Sir.—ln commenting briefly on the various letters in the paper concerning Dr. Williams, may I ask the question “Is Dr. Williams the only medical man in this town who has ever made a mistake?” I say “Decidedly not.” In fact some of them suspect disease where disease doesn’t exist. Dr. Williams’ sentence which has been so severely criticised could convey quite a different meaning, and that is that a man's work is necessary to him. 1 don’t know the gentleman in question, but I know that his good reputation extends a very long distance, miles outside of Wanganui, in fact. Right must prevail’ --! am, etc., “A WOMAN.”
