RIOT ON RACECOLRSE Received June 6, 7.5 p.m. TORONTO, June 5. At Thorncliffe Park a race won by Vanished was ordered to be re-run when Lassie’s Mary, the twelfth entry, was missing. The official starter said the flag was not dropped. Hundreds rioted, stoning the hones and storming the betting pavilion. The police quelled the disturbance and the race was re-run. Lassie’s Mary won and Vanished was last.
