ENDOWMENTS SUGGESTED LONDON, June 4. Viscount Bledisloe, former Gover-nor-General of New Zealand, addressing members of agricultural and forest services of the Empire overseas at Rothamstead, said that £lO,OOO spent on soil research might lead to benefit to the extent of £500,000. He suggested that £lO,OOO should be given by each part of the Empire as an endowment to Rothamstead when it celebrates its centenary in 1943.
