DANCE AT NUKUMARU The Nukumaru Hall Committee held Us final dance on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance, visitors coming from the surrounding districts. The music was supplied by Hooker's Melodymakers. Monte Carlo winners were Miss Handley (Patea) and Mr Coughlan (Palmerston North) and Miss Barron and Mr Close. The lucky number competition was won by Mr Graham. Messrs Forsyth and Cole were M’s.C. GIFT EVENING A gift evening was tendered Miss G. Reid and Mr L. Hurley in the Waito-
tara Hall on Thursday evening, the hostesses being Mesdames Warner and Staples. Dancing was rti.ioyed by those present. Songs were given by Miss G. Lee, i Mrs Zimmerman, Misses Scadden and I N. Lee, and Messrs Gifford (Waver- I ley) and R. Willis (Patea) provided the music. | Mr Warner, in asking the guests of ; honour to accept the many presents, : i wished them happiness in their future i : life. Mr L. Hurley suitably replied. J
