DESPERATE COURAGE
MAN TRAPPED BY BOAR ARM THRUST INTO JAWS GREYMOUTH, June 3. While a farmer of South Spit, Hokitika, Mr. H. McClean, was feeding his pigs on Tuesday a boar rushed at him. Trapped as he was in the yard, Mr. McClean realised that his only hope ot escape was in thrusting his arm into the boar’s mouth. This effort to check the attack was successful, but the injuries to the arm necessitated Mr. McClean’s removal to the Westland Hospital, v/here it was found necessary to insert 45 stitches. “ONLY THING FOR PILES.”
