LATEST ADDITIONS NEW ZEALANDERS’ NOVELS “Flowering Alice,’’ by Sylvia Stevenson, which is included in the latest list of books at the Wanganui library, is recommended by the Book Society, which states that the novel is delightful, sane, intelligent and touching. “Vintage Murder.’’ by the New Zealander, Ngaio Marsh, is a splendid thriller by an authoress whose works have received good reviews. Rosemary Rees, another New Zealander, has contributed “Turn the Hour,’’ a happy story of New Zealand life in modern times. Among the non-fic-tion books are “I Decorate My Home,” by Derek Patmore, who is one of the leading authorities of the present day on interior decorating. In “The Empire Comes Home,” W. S. Percy has planned a book for colonial visitors to England. Mr Noel Coward’s “Auditions,” the title used by the Times Library Supplement in reviewing “Present Indicative,” needs no introduction. This talented writer tells his story swiftly and directly, and puts his sense of his importance to the world as small, but himself as tremendous.
