miniature rifle shooting During last week a team from the local club journeyed to Wanganui to meet the railway Miniature Rifle Club on the latter’s range. After a most exciting friendly match Wangaehq emerged the winners by 28 points as a result of which Railway paid the penalty of providing a saveloy supper. The scores were:

Total 1010. GOLF CLUB Last Thursday afternoon Mrs. W. Baldwin invited prospective members to a golfing afternoon held at her residence. About 25 attended to enjoy instruction from Mr. D. McMillan, followed by a practice round the paddocks. After a strenuous afternoon the guests partook of a delectable afternoon tea served on the verandah overlooking picturesque gardens.
