MUSIC WEEK
The programme committee for Music Week have advanced their work somewhat and have four or five programmes ready. Owing to a suitable hall not being available in Aramoho, the All-Scotch concert, which was to be given there by the Highland Band and the Scottish Society, is now to be held in the Opera House on Thursday, May 20. Wanganui East and Gonville are to have separate concerts on the same night, viz., Tuesday, May 11, while two higher concerts are to be given in the Opera House, on on the 13th and the qther on the 17th. The three bands, Choral Society, Male Choir, Repertory Society are all co-operating in these concerts, while many additional solo items should help to enhance Wanganui’s musical reputation as well as proving the value of Music Week.
