SOUTH TARANAKI WINTER SHOW
FARM AND GARDEN SECTION. One of the most interesting sections of the 1937 winter show at Hawera should be the farm and garden section. In the garden section we have 35 classes and in the field roots section there are 25 classes, so there is ample scope tor all sections of the community interested in gardening and agricultural work. In the field root division, Messrs. Thos. Borthwick and Son, offer a i ton of chemical manure to the farmer scoring the most points in this section. Special prizes are offered by Messrs. Geo. Syme and Co., for the most points in field roots, and by the N.Z. Clothing Factory for the most points in field roots, and by the N.Z. clothing factory for the most points tn onion classes. With such attractive prices there should be good competition. Eentries in this section close on Thursday, May 6, at 5 p.m. Those who have not received a schedule can obtain one upon application to the Manager, P.O. Box 79, Hawera.
