WAGES AND CONDITIONS. 40-HOUR. FIVE-DAY WEEK, I Per Pres* Association. ] WELLINGTON, March 10. Wages and conditions of employment for plumbers and gasfitters on a Dominion-wide basis occupied the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Reardon, in Conciliation Council today. The parties were the New Zealand Federated Plumbers and Gasfitters Industrial Association of Workers and the New Zealand Federation of Master Plumbers Industrial Association of Employers. An agreement was reached on the hours of work, holidays and a number of minor points. The proceedings will continue tomorrow. A 40-hour, five-day week was agreed on.
