STRONG FORCE OF POLICE EFFORTS UNAVAUJNG I Per Prert Association. ] NEW PLYMOUTH, March 9. A search over a wide area in Central Taranaki, by a strong force of police, to-day and to-night failed to reveal any trace of William Joseph Fox, who escaped from the custody of a warder by diving through an open window’ of the Auckland express into a crowd on the Stratford station last night. When he escaped Fox was being taken to Waikeiia prison camp to serve a term of four years for aggravated assault on police officers and tor bigamy.
