BLLLS-OHAKEA SPORTS CLUB Excellent entries have been received for the Bulls-Ohakea sports meeting, which will be held on Bulls Domain on Saturday next. Amongst the entrails for the cycle events is Jack Guilliard, and several other stars afe likely to be seen here also. Entries were received from Taihape, Marton. Wanganui, Shannon, Bulls and Levin. Mr. C. H. Edwards has donated a miniature cup, and Mr. W. Purcell a trophy for the runner-up in a boys’ race of 220 yards, the age limits being 11 to 14 years. Bond (president) was in the chair at a meeting of the committee of the Bulls R.S.A., held last week and there were also present Messrs. S. Rich, I. T. Webster, H. O. D. Clark, H. H. Holland, G. Richardson, J. H. Ellery, and F. Ellery. Apologies were received from Messrs. W. A. Sutherland and R. J. K. Gray. Correspondence was received as follows: —From the Levin Women's Institute, asking the concert party to put on another entertainment in Levin. —The request could not be acceded to, the party having disbanded. From Padre Lane thanking Ute association for a letter inquiring about his health, and stating that he was now quite well again. Coronation Ball.- Mr. Holland reported that he had waited on the Town Board in connection with the

proposed Coronation Ball on May 12, and that the suggestion had been favourably received. Birthday Celebrations. —The manner in which the 21st birthday of the N.Z.R.S.A. will be celebrated was left over for consideration at the annual meeting on April 6th. Ladies’ Rest.—lt was decided, owing to the great help which the ladies had been to the association, to donate five guineas to rhe rest room fund. The treasurer reported that 76 members were financial. It was decided to hold the next committee meeting on March 23. GENERAL NEWS Bulls Bowling Club will probably send three rinks to Hunterville this afternoon. Advice has been received from P-1-* merston North Hospital that the jockey W. N. Taylor, who sustained concussion through a fall at the races at Bulls on Saturday, is progressing favourably, and will be well enough to return home in a day or two. Arrangements are now' complete for the Parewanui School Committee’s dance at Bulls on Thursday evening, and dancers are looking forward to the function with more than usual interest. Visitors to Bulls this week included Mrs. A. Stephenson, of Wellington, and Mr. and Mrs. G. McGregor, of Eltham. Mr. Ron. Flower, of Wellington, is at present holidaying here.
