HIGH SEAS AND GALES
BRITISH COASTS LASHED LIGHTHOUSE KEEPERS MAROONED [ British Official Wireless. 1 RUGBY, Feb. 8. Owing to persistent gales and high seas the island of Foula, in the Shetlands, have been isolated since December 27 until yesterday, when n fishery protection vessel arrived with a stock of provisions. Three 'keepers of Tuskar Lighthouse, off Wexford Coast, Ireland, have been marooned for 34 days. A further attempt yesterday to relieve them failed owing to heavy seas. The 'keepers long since exhausted their fresh provisions, but a supply ot emergency rations will last for three months.
