SUGGESTIONS FOR THE GUEST.
Be Appreciative.—Write your hostess a letter of thanks, or, if you are often her guest, take her some flowers or some chocolates. Leave a “tip” for the maid. Don’t meet every suggestion for your entertainment with “I don’t mind, really!” Be Considerate. —Don’t use the towels for removing your rogue. Don’t take all the hot water. Don't leave the electric light on or the gas fire burning in your bedroom. Don't forget to pay your bridge debts. Smoke your own cigarettes sometimes, and mind where you put the ash. Don t feed the dog at table. Be Helpful.—Don’t be above offering to make your bed, help clear away or wash-up if you thing it is necessary. The foregoing paragraph comes from The New Idea, and is typical of the bright and interesting reading matter with which its 80 pages are crammed.
