IN SOUTH WESTLAND
HON D. G. SULLIVAN ON TOUR [ Per Press Association. ] GREYMOUTH, Feb. 8. In continuation of his tour of the West Coast the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, Industries and Commerce, to-day visited Rewanui, Rapahoe, and Kotuku. This evening he is being tendered a civic reception at Greymouth. Representations were made to him for a new railway station at Greymouth, an extension of the railway into South Westland for the purpose of opening up the wonderful timber and settlement areas there. The Minister said, regarding the later request, that experts are now investigating the matter which would rest with Cabinet when the investigations were complete. The Minister to-day visits Roa and Blackball and will return to Christchurch on Wednesday. - The Minister was loud in his praises of the exotic beauty of the bush and mountain scenery, glaciers and agricultural potentialities of South Westland.
