Morton, Victoria Avenue, returned home at the week-end. Miss Joyce Bassett was a guest of Miss Dolly Christie at Kai Iwi Beach for the week-end. Mrs. C. W. Bailey, of Opunake, were visitors to Wanganui for the Foot—Richmond wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Campbell, Tehana, Taranaki, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ruscoe, Wanganui East.

Miss Evelyn Wright, who has been on a long visit to Sydney, returned to Wellington this week.

Miss Sybil Williams, Aramoho, leaves Wanganui on Wednesday for

Te Aute, where she will stay with Mr. and Mrs. Williams.

Mrs. J. Bunting, of Hawarden, North Canterbury, who has spent several weeks in Auckland with her mother, Mrs. F. W. Bowes, is now the guest of Mrs. F. Wagstaff, Wanganui.

Miss Muriel Bevege, of Aramoho, returned home during the week-end after an enjoyable holiday spent at Stratford, where she was the guest of her aunt, Mrs. H. Ludlan. Mr. and Mrs. A. Walker have returned from Wellington after attending the races at Trentham. They were accompanied by Mrs. A. Walker, New Plymouth.

Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Tingey, New Plymouth, and Mrs. T. H. Davison, Westmere, motored to Wellington to attend the Wellings—Caradus wedding, which took place on February 4.

Mrs Uttley, Gonville, will leave on Thursday for Wellington to meet ana welcome her sister, Miss Nan Leyland, of Dunedin, who arrives back In New Zealand on Saturday after a —seven months tour of the British Isles and the Continent.

Miss Caroline Nias, a daughter of Admiral Sir Joseph Nias, who, as captain of the frigate Herald, brought Captain Hobson to New Zealand to negotiate the Treaty of Waitangi, has been spending a few days at Auckland. With her sister, Mrs I. Baynes, widow of Admiral Baynes, formerly in command of the Australian Station, she arrived in December, and visitea the Bay of Islands and other places of historical interest. Miss Nias left on Saturday for Rotorua, en route to Wellington and England.

Parents sending their daughters to Wanganui Girls’ College will be pleased to hear that Dustin’s have again been entrusted with the bread supply.—Advt.
