TOURNEY AT BELMONT CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS The carnival golf tournament being conducted at the Belmont links was advanced a further stage on Boxing Day in fine weather, though at one stage rain threatened to spoil the day. Keen interest was displayed by all participants. Following are the results: — Championship. First Round. J. L. Black won from B. Power. A. R. Kitto won from R. A. Hpwie. N. G. Williams won from J. Potaka. G. Saunders won from F. C. Hutchison. Second Round. J. L. Black won from A. R. Kitto. F. C. Hutchison won from N. G. Williams. J. L. Black plays F. C. Hutchison in the final this morning, commencing at 10 o'clock. Black is playing as well as ever and in the three rounds plays so far he has not been much over even fours. F. C. Hutchison needed a four for 73 at the last hole in the afternoon round, but took a six. Carnival Handicap. First Round. R. J. Fisher won from R. F. Kitto. E. H. Large won from R. Bates. L. W. Hogben won from E. W. Donovan. B. W. Wright won from P. Gronn. Second PvOUnd. E. H. Large won from R. J. Fisher. B. W. Wright won from L. W. Hogben. E. H. Large meets B. W. Wright in the final.
