HUGE FAIR BUILDING
PROGRESS AT EARL’S COURT [ British Offic'al Wireless. ] RUGBY, Dec. 24. An exhibition building now being erected at Earl's Court which, when completed, will house the annual British Industrial Fair and will be the biggest structure in reinforced concrete yet built in Europe, is approching the stage when the rofing will be thrown over the great spans, the central one of which will be 250 feet by 350 feet. Underneath there will be an area with seating for 20,000 people. The floor incorporates a device by which a section will sink to make a swimming pool 200 reet by 100 feet, with a capacity ot 2,000,000 gallons. The early stages of the construction were hampered by the necessity of enclosing in tunnels six lines of railway track without interrupting the service. The difficult engineering feat has been accomplished with only a small departure from the original schedule of progress.
