Head; half a length. Time, 1.11. Hopetoun Handicap.—Dick Devon 9.2 (Dewhurst) 1, Amalia 9.2 (Creighton) 2, Bonus 6.12 (Tocknell) 3. Fourteen started, including Gay Sheik. Three-quarters of a length; head. Time, 2.19 L Malvern Handicap.—Hostile 8.12 (Webster, 1, Golden Promise 9.4 (A. Reed) 2, Double Bard 8.6 (Wilson) 3. Fifteen started, including Riddle. Head; three-quarters of a length. Time, 1.38. Barnum, Calydon and Revision were unplaced in the Shoobra Hurdle. Cynical Kid and Cape Lilock were unplaced in the Oberon Steeples. Prince Quex was unplaced in the Christmas Handicap.
