In the Sheffield Shield match, Victoria in their first innings made 318 (Barnett 45; Lush, five for 75, MeGilvray three for 35). In their second innings they have none for 16. New South Wales in their first innings made 252 (Mudge 46, Jackson 46; Fleetwood-Smith, five for 110, Ebeling, two for 41. Gregory, two for 41). Lush, having his first game in a Shield match, bowled particularly well.
