WANGANUI SALE FAT SHEEP VALUES EASE Messrs. Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., report as follows on Wednesday’s sale: — To an average attendance we offered a heavy yarding of fat sheep with a moderate entry in all other sections. The entry of fat sheep was far more than the market could absorb with a decided easing of up to 4s a head on fat ewes and 3s a head on hoggets; fat lambs were.about Is a head down. Fat cattle were firm to slightly better than last week, all stores being firm. All pigs sold firm at late rates. Sheep: Prime heavy ’Down ewes, 245; prime ewes, 18s, 21s; fat, 16s 6d; 12s 6d; fat lambs, 22s 9d, 265; fat wethers, 225, 245; 2-tooth wethers, 225, 22s 6d. Cattle: Fat P.A. cows, £7, £7 ss; prime S.H. cows, £7 10s, £8; fat ditto, £6 10s, £7 ss; fat cows, £4 ss, £6; lignt, £3, £4 2s 6d; forward cows, £5 2s 6d, £5 12s 6d; good stores, ex. dairy, f2 10s, £3 ss; good P. Pigs: Choppers, £1 15s, £2; heavy porkers, 345, 40s; porkers, 28s, 335; light porkers, 265, 275; good stores, 18 s, 22s 6d; stores, 15s 6d, 17s 6d; good slips, 17s, 18s 6d; average, 14s, 16s 6d; weaners, 13s, 15s; good vearers, 335, 525; runner, £3 16s, £4 ss; salves, 16s, 255. i THE BULLS SALE Dalgety and Company Limited report on their Bulls sale held on Monday last, when good average entries in all sections came to hand. There was fair competition throughout with a sound sale. They quote: —Fat shorn hoggets 245; ewes and lambs (all counted) 15s, 16s 6d, 18s 9d; weaner pigs 16s 6d, 17s, 18s; slips 17s 6d, 19s 6d 21s; store pigs 19s 6d, 21s 6d, to 275; porkers 33s to 355; fat dairy heifers £4 to £4 10s; fat Jersey cows £3 Bs, £3 13s, £3 19s, £4 to £4 8s; store cows 26s 6d, 50/- to 58/-; yearling Jersey heifers £3 17s; dairy heifers t 4; and a quantity of sundries.
