HEALTH CAMP FUNDS

“JOYLAND” AT THE DRILL HALL Arrangements are proceeding apace for the monster "Joyland” performances to be held in the Drill Hall tonight and to-morrow. These functions will be the grand finale to the Health Camp campaign, and arrangements are being made to accommodate large numbers. The organisation is in the li'a.nds of the combined Rugby football clubs and the proceeds are to go to the Sports Queen. These two nights promise to be chockful of gaiety. The entertainments include the first appearance of the Devils’ Ballet and a Russian ballet. Also a series of Maori hakas by the famous Hinemoa Haka Troupe, a display of acrobatics and tumbling by the Acmy Troupe. A special stage is being erected for the purpose. The special engagement of Madame Zaree, the famous character reader, is announced. Games and novelties of all descriptions will be in full swing, and this iinal flutter promises to be an outstanding success. The Highland Pipe Band will parade in the Avenue from 7.30 to-night and will be accompanied by a clown troupe performing on a lorry. The Garrison Band will appear to-morrow, the final, night.
