AIR EXPANSION
BRITISH DEFENCE EFFICIENCY OF ’PLANES [ Briash Official Wireless. ] RUGBY r , Nov. 25. The Under Secretary for Air, Sir Phillip Sassoon, in a speech said the development of the Air Force expansion scheme coincided with a per.od of unusual progress in the performance and design of aeroplanes and engines. How good these aircraft were was demonstrated by the fact that so many foreign nations were anxious to secure examples of them, though they knew they would have to wait a long time for them. RECORD PRODUCTION A SQUADRON PER WEEK LONDON, Nov. 24. Sir Phillip Sassoon added that since the present air expansion scheme started we have been producing roughly a squadron per week.
