ST. MARY’S CONVENT
ANNEAL GARDEN PARTY The annual garden party in aid of t St. Mary’s Concert (Hurworth, Grey . Street) will be held in the Convent 1 grounds on Saturday next, November / 28, commencing at 10 a.m. Produce, i cakes, sweets, ice cream, etc., will be ? on sale. In addition there will be j afternoon tea, competitions, and a 1 baby show which is sure to create keen 1 competition. Prizes will be given for i boys and girls up to 12 months and t from 13 months to 2 years. Two , professional nurses will be the judges, j There will be marches and drills by . the pupils of the schools.’ The Garrii son Band will be in attendance. The function will be officially opened by the Mayor (Mr. W. J. Rogers), assisted by the member for Wanganui, ■ Mr. J. B. Cotterill, in the afternoon.
