EUROPEAN POSITION SHARP FALL IN PRICES LONDON, Nov. 23. The City may be described as very nervous over the latest developments in the European situation. Prices on the Stock Exchange have fallen sharply. DOWNING STREET CALLS FOREIGN AMBASSADORS GERMAN, SPANISH, AND FRENCH I British Official Wireless ] Received Nov. 24, 5.5 p.m. RUGBY, Nov. 23. Herr von Ribbentrop, the German Ambassador in London, paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, this morning. This was Herr von Ribbentrop’s first visit to the Prime Minister since taking up his duties in London. The Spanish Ambassador, Senor de Azcarate, visited the Foreign • Office and saw the Foreign Secretary, Mr Eden. Later the French Ambassador, M. Corbin, called. Mr Eden stated in the House of Commons that he had given M. Corbin an account of the policy Britain intended to pursue in regard to legislation to prevent British ships carrying arms to Spain. BREAK WITH RUSSIA? GERMAN DISPOSITION LONDON, Nov. 23. The Star suggests that the interview this afternoon between the German Ambassador, Herr von Ribbentrop and the Prime Minister, Mr Stanley Baldwin, related to Germany’s disposition towards a diplomatic break with Russia.
