EVENING PLAYS

ST. MARY'S DRAMATIC CLUB I A delightful entertainment was given last evening by members of St. i Alary’s Dramatic Club in St. Joseph’s ; Schoolroom, Wicksteed Street, which • was filled with an interested audience. I The programme consisted of three | one-act plays of widely different | nature, interspersed with musical selections by a string orchestra of seven players, and a ballet by Miss Muriel Swann’s pupils. The plays were under the direction I of Aliss Victorine Ruscoe, B.A. I (N.Z.U.), L.T.C.L. The first play “Two Naughty Old Ladies,” was well acted by Miss M. Robinson, Miss A. Maloney. Miss L. Bradley, Miss K. .Barry, Mr E. Crutchley. “A Waiting I Game,” a comedy, was the second play presented. The cast, comprised: Mr jJ. Gordon, Mr E. Crutchley, Air J. I Gallagher, Miss M. Cahill. Aliss K. Barry, Miss J. Barry, Aliss M. O'Malley. A different theme was the farce “Have You Anything to Declare?” which was well handled by Mrs R. Dobbs, Misses K. Barry, M. Boulton, AL Robinson. M.
