FITTING HUB CAPS
Many of the latest English cars are fitted with pressed steel wheels, the large diameter hub caps of which fit in a slightly different way from those most people are used to. When replacing them, some exasperation may be caused if the correct method is not mastered. These hub caps are of the press-on type, but instead of springing into place over a flange, they fit on three studs. The car should be moved forward so that one stud is at the bottom, the cap hooked over the two top studs, and then given a sharp tap with the fist. It will then spring into place over the third stud.
